Landmark Will Send Six Student-Athletes To NCAA Event

MADISON, N.J. - Six student-athletes from Landmark Conference institutions will have the opportunity to discuss issues student-athletes and to enhance their leadership skills as they have been selected to attimpacting end the NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference. There will be two sessions of the conference, one May 25-27 and the other May 27-29 in Orlando, Fla.

Landmark institutions Moravian College, Susquehanna University and The University of Scranton each had two student-athletes selected to attend the conference. Moravian sophomore Sydni Wisniewski and freshman Maurice Young; Susquehanna senior Joel Patch and sophomore Josh Simpson; and Scranton junior Katie Cordier and junior Chris Psihoules will all represent the Landmark at the event. The six students were selected through a nomination and selection process and they will be among 700 students from all three NCAA divisions at the conference.

The NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference provides NCAA student-athletes with a forum to openly discuss issues that may affect them on their campuses and in their communities, while also providing them with the opportunity to enhance their leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills. The conference also promotes better communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and communities.
