Two Student-Athletes Named Players of the Week

MADISON, N.J. - With Landmark Conference play heating up after the first full weekend of conference action, two Landmark student-athletes have been chosen as Players of the Week. The Landmark Player of the Week selections are made by the Landmark Conference office.
Men's Basketball:
Junior Zach Ashworth helped Scranton to a 1-1 week with a pair of
strong performances in Landmark action. He scored 19 of his
game-high 25 points in the second half to help the Royals rally
past Drew for a conference win. He then added 23 points in a
Royals’ setback to USMMA. He shot 48-percent from the field,
54-percent from three-point range, and 82-percent from the foul
line over the two games, while also picking up 12 rebounds, six
assists and three steals.
Women's Basketball:
Jill Woerner put together a strong all-around week to help
Catholic go 2-0 in Landmark play and 2-1 overall. She recorded a
pair of double-doubles, going for 16 points and 10 rebounds in a
win over Susquehanna and 12 points and 13 rebounds in loss to
Swarthmore. She also added 11 points and three boards against
Juniata. She also was a force defensively, compiling 11 steals and
eight blocks over the three games. She finished the week averaging
13 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 2.7 blocks per contest
while shooting 50-percent from the field.
