Landmark Honors Four Players of the Week

MADISON, N.J. - A full schedule of Landmark basketball and swimming and diving competitions this past week has led to four players to being selected as Landmark Players of the Week. The Landmark Player of the Week selections are made by the Landmark Conference office.
Men's Basketball:
Sophomore guard Jon Snead helped USMMA to a 1-1 record in Landmark
play with two strong games. He scored 21 points in a road win over
Goucher, while shooting 58-percent from the field. It came one
night after he scored a career-high 30 points in a loss to
Catholic. He also pulled in four rebounds with two assists in each
game, and added three steals over the two games. He shot 53-percent
from the field and 47-percent from three-point range over the
games.
Women's Basketball:
Drew’s Danielle Barber had a memorable week in helping Drew
to a 1-1 record. She posted the first triple-double in Landmark
history, and hit a buzzer-beating three to give Drew a win over
Catholic. She scored 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had 10
assists, along with four steals in the victory. The previous night
she scored 12 points with six assists and four rebounds with three
steals in a loss to Goucher. She averaged 16.5 points, eight
assists, seven rebounds and 3.5 steals per game for the week.
Men's Swimming & Diving:
Scranton freshman Andrew Urban won a pair of events as he
helped the Royals pick up a Landmark win over Catholic. He touched
the wall first in the 50 freestyle in a time of 22.80 and the 100
freestyle 49.89.
Women's Swimming & Diving:
Lindsey Phillipson-Weiner turned in two individual event
wins and was a part of two winning relays as Goucher swept a
Landmark tri-meet with Drew and USMMA. She won both distance events
at the meet, posting a time of 11:38.87 to win the 1,000 freestyle
and 5:38.53 to win the 500. She won both races by more than 19
seconds, and was also a part of Goucher’s winning 200
freestyle relay team.
