Conference Players Of The Week Selected

MADISON, N.J. - With the first semester of competition winding down, two athletes were chosen as Landmark Conference Players of the Week. The Player of the Week honors as chosen by the conferenc office.

Men's Basketball:
Juniata senior forward Brian Cannon played three strong games for the Eagles this past week. Cannon was named the Most Valu­able Player as Juniata captured two wins to earn the championship of the Messiah College Tournament. He scored 22 points in the championship game win over host Messiah after producing 23 points in a win over Manhattanville on the first day of the tourney. He was 10-of-14 from the field in the Manhattanville contest, and he shot 52-percent from the field for the week. Cannon also had 16 points and eight rebounds earlier in the week against St. Vincent. He averaged 20.3 points and 5.7 rebounds over Juniata's three games, while adding five assists, two steals and a block.

Women's Basketball:
Sophomore forward Alyssa Bisci helped Moravian to a perfect 3-0 week including a victory in its Landmark opener against Scranton. Bisci reached double figures in scoring in all three contests, with a career-high 19 points in a win over Muhlenberg. She established a career high earlier in the week with 15 points in the win over Scranton, and then had her first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Ursinus. She shot 43 percent from the field on the week and averaged 15.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest. She was also 23-25 from the foul line, good for 92 percent.
