Landmark Names Players of the Week

MADISON, N.J. - Two Landmark athletes have been selected as Landmark Players of the Week following another week of competition in the winter sports season. The Landmark Players of the Week selections are made by the conference office.

Men's Basketball:
Freshman forward Wes Parker helped Catholic earn a victory in its lone game of the week as he turned in one of the best perfor­mances of his young career. He scored a career, and game-high 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 5-of-6 from three-point range as Catholic defeated Villa Julie. Parker also pulled in nine rebounds, which led the team, and contributed two assists, one block and one steal. Four of his five three pointers came in the first half as Catholic built a large lead it would not relinquish and brought its record to 5-5.

Women's Basketball:
USMMA senior center Morgan Gartner earns Player of the Week honors for the second time after she helped the Mariners to a win in their only contest of the week. Gartner turned in her fourth double-double of the season as she scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 19 minutes of action as USMMA topped New York City Tech. She was 7-of-10 from the field in the game and also contributed five steals on the defensive end. Her efforts helped USMMA continue the best start in program history as the Mariners improved to 6-1 on the year.
