Landmark Announces Players of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference has released the Players of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Harley Sellinger
Susquehanna (Sr., C, Mill Hall, Pa.)

Sellinger averaged a double-double this week with 24.0 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game as Susquehanna picked up wins over Catholic and Moravian. In Wednesday’s game at Catholic, Sellinger scored 25 points with 15 rebounds. He followed up with 23 points and eight boards on Saturday against Moravian. Sellinger was 23-for-28 from the floor to finish 82.1 percent from the floor this week. He added four steals and three blocks in the two wins.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Emily Grabiak
Catholic (Sr., G, Haddonfield, N.J.)

Grabiak played every minute of both games this week and became the first player in Catholic history to reach 1,000 points, 600 rebounds, 400 assists, and 200 steals for her career. Grabiak averaged a double-double with 16.0 points and 12.5 rebounds and added 5.0 assists per game. On Wednesday, the senior captain scored 19 points and pulled down a career-high 16 boards to lead the Cardinals to victory over Susquehanna. Grabiak notched her 1,000th career point with 5:46 to play and sparked a run to help the visiting Cards pull away from the Crusaders. In Saturday's battle for first with Scranton, she had 13 points and 9 rebounds.

Men's Indoor Track Player of the Week
Kwane Hayle
Susquehanna (So., Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)

Hayle raced to wins in the 60 meters and 200 meters at the SU Invitational on Friday. He won the 60 meters in 6.97 seconds, just shy of his conference-leading time this season. He currently ranks 14th in NCAA Division III. Hayle won the 200 meters in 23.05 seconds, the fastest time in the Landmark this season. He was also a member of the winning 4x200 meter relay team that finished in a time of 1:32.84, the top time in the conference to date.

   
Men's Indoor Field Player of the Week
Kristopher Joint
Moravian (Sr., Bethlehem, Pa.)

Joint was second in the long jump at the non-scoring Lafayette-Rider Winter Games with a season best jump of 7.08 meters (23 feet, 2 3/4 inches). The distance qualified them for the ECAC Championships and moves him into a tie for 9th in NCAA Division III.

Women's Indoor Track Player of the Week
Jasmine Mitchell
Susquehanna (Fr., Harrisburg, Pa.)

Mitchell raced to top honors in the 60 meters at the SU Invitational on Friday. She finished the race in 7.90 seconds, a new Susquehanna and Landmark record. She finished second in the 200 meters. Her time of 26.72 is the fastest in the Landmark this season. Mitchell also ran anchor for Susquehanna’s winning 4x200 meter relay team (1:52.60).

   
Women's Indoor Field Player of the Week
Lauren Suelke
Moravian (Fr., Quakertown, Pa.)

Suelke posted an ECAC qualifying distance of 10.97 meters (36 feet) to finish third in the College triple jump at the Lafayette-Rider Winter Games at the New York City Armory. She ranks first in the Landmark this season.

Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Tony Fisher Catholic (Fr., A, Ardmore, Pa.)

Fisher had a strong first game for the Cardinals, scoring once and assisting on two goals during his collegiate debut. The rookie also collected two groundballs and had a caused turnover in the team's 19-0 rout of Southern Virginia.

   
Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Dan McCallan Catholic (Jr., D, Garden City, N.Y.)

Long stick midfielder Dan McCallan helped the Cardinals earn a shutout victory in their season-opening win over Southern Virginia. The junior caused two turnovers and picked up a groundball. His presence in the midfield was instrumental as the visiting Knights successfully completed just eight clears in 20 attempts. The Catholic defense held Southern Virginia to just eight shots, with only three on frame
