Landmark Announces Players of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference has released the Players of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Ross Danzig
Scranton (Jr., G, Clarks Green, Pa.)

Danzig continues to put up solid all-around numbers, as was evident in his performance in Saturday’s 82-68 victory over Susquehanna University. He finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists as the Royals snapped a two-game losing streak to Susquehanna at Houts Gymnasium and won their fifth straight Landmark Conference season opener.

Melissa Errico
Catholic (Fr., F - Harrington Park, N.J.)

Errico led Catholic to the 81-72 win over Drew in its Landmark-opener on Saturday. The freshman notched her first double-double on career-highs. She came off the bench to score 23 points with 12 rebounds in 22 minutes of play. Errico's presence in the post was critical as the Cardinals held a +18 rebound margin and limited the Rangers to just seven offensive boards for the game. Errico shot 50% from the floor.

Men's Swimming Player of the Week
Guido Saccaggi
Catholic (Fr., Duluth, Ga.)

Saccaggi had a huge weekend for the Cardinals at Randolph-Macon’s Yellow Jacket Invite. The freshman had a hand in 118 of the team's 506.5 total points, as he scored points in all six of the events he swam. His best performance of the weekend was an impressive 16:28.55 time in the 1650 freestyle, which broke the Catholic school record by 15 seconds. The mark is the fastest in the Landmark this season, and the fourth fastest all-time. He also posted the conference’s fastest time this season in the 500 freestyle (4:44.10) and the 400 IM (4:12.82). Both times also rank in the Landmark’s top-10 performances.

Women's Swimming Player of the Week
Julia Wisler
Catholic (Jr., Phoenixville, Pa.)

Wisler was instrumental in the Cardinals' dominant showing at Randolph-Macon’s Yellow Jacket Invite this weekend. Catholic won the 13-team event on Saturday. Of the team's 685 points, Wisler helped score 113. She finished fourth in the 50 freestyle (24.98) and second in the 100 freestyle (54.29), both the fastest times in the Landmark this season. She also finished the 100 butterfly in 1:02.20 to place sixth and swam in two runner-up relays for the Cardinals.

Men's Indoor Track Player of the Week
Kwane Hayle Susquehanna (So., Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)

Hayle ran the 60 meters at Bucknell’s Bison Opener on Saturday. He finished second in 6.94 seconds, just 0.02 seconds off his personal best and 0.01 seconds off the winning time. Hayle ran the fastest time in the Landmark and is currently ranked second-fastest in the 60 meters for NCAA Division III this season.

Kristopher Joint Moravian (Sr., Bethlehem, Pa.)

Joint opened the 2013-14 indoor season with the second best mark in Moravian history to win the triple jump at the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals. He won the event with a mark of 14.82 meters. The mark met the ECAC qualifying mark and puts him first on the list for NCAA Championships qualifying. The distance was also just 3 1/2 inches shy of his school and Landmark Conference record set this past February. Joint also ran a time of 7.44 seconds in the 60-meter dash in his only other event of the meet.

Women's Indoor Track Player of the Week
Kamillah Smith Goucher (So., Northampton, Mass.)

Smith competed in the 60 and 200 meter races at Ursinus’ Bow-Tie Classic this weekend. She broke the Goucher and Landmark Conference 60-meter dash record with a time of 7.91 seconds. She placed second in the event and earned an eighth place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 27.13 seconds. Smith’s time currently ranks fourth in NCAA Division III this season.

Christelle Reglas Moravian (So., Bangor, Pa.)

Reglas placed second in the long jump at the Lehigh’s Fast Times Before Finals meet. She cleared 5.30 meters to qualify for the ECAC Championships and rank third on the list for NCAA Championships qualifying. On the track, Reglas tied for 22nd in the 60-meter dash in 8.32 seconds, and she was 24th in the 200-meter dash in 28.28 seconds.
