Moravian Evens Record With Road Victory

The Moravian field hockey team evened its record at 4-4 as the Greyhounds earned a 4-1 non-conference victory at Philadelphia Biblical University.
Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute when senior forward Savannah Bayer found the back of the net on a penalty corner for her third goal of the season.
The Greyhounds would then score the first three goals of the
second half with sophomore forward Kayla Carson netting unassisted
goals in the 38th and 43rd minutes and senior forward Erica Spatz
putting a pass from sophomore forward Julie Bisci in the back of
the net in the 53rd minute. Carson now has a team high five goals
on the season for Moravian while Spatz has scored two goals.
Philadelphia Biblical would get on the scoreboard in the 59th
minute on an unassisted goal by Stacey Messick.
Moravian had a 16-5 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in penalty
corners.
Freshman goalie Maura Acox played 56 minutes without making a save
for the Greyhounds while sophomore keeper Aliina Ross had two saves
in the final 14 minutes of the match. Katie Aungst made five saves
for Philadelphia Biblical, which also had two team saves.
