Crusaders Capture Convincing Non-Conference Win

SELINSGROVE , Pa. - Susquehanna found itself on the winning end of a 5-0 rout of non-conference Morrisville State that lasted 1:50 on a chilly October night.

Rebecca Entwistle (Farmingdale, N.J./Wall) scored first just 12:40 into the first half as a result of a ball that was tipped in off of a Mustang defender. Jenelle Anthony (Saylorsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) received credit for the assist.

Andrea Fiori (West Trenton, N.J./Lawrenceville) went on a scoring spree, knocking in two goals in less than two minutes. A pass from Entwistle led to Fiori's first goal at the 26:54 mark while Fiori's second goal was unassisted. Those two goals tied Fiori for the Landmark Conference lead in goals scored with Juniata's Kim Wagner.

After lining laser shots from the top of the circle throughout the entirety of the contest, Julia Amendola (Mountain Top, Pa./Bishop Hoban) found the back of the box with 12:15 left in regulation.

Kristen Epting (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg) closed out the match's scoring under the 10-minute mark off of an Anthony pass.

The battle for an undisputed season assist leader continued, as Epting, Entwistle and Anthony all are tied for the team lead with four apiece.

Lyndsay Meabon (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) had a relatively quiet night in the box, facing just three shots. Meabon saved all three.

Mustang goalkeeper Stephanie Smith corralled 21 saves on Susquehanna's 26 shots on goal.

Susquehanna held the upper hand in shots by a 43-3 margin.
