Voters Favor Juniata In Preseason Field Hockey Poll

The Juniata College field hockey team has claimed the Landmark Championship each of the past three years, and the Eagles are the favorites to earn the title for the fourth time as selected in the Landmark Preseason Field Hockey Poll. The seven head field hockey coaches and sports information directors at each institution that sponsor the sport were polled for the preseason ballot.

Landmark Honors Fall Senior Scholar Athletes

The Landmark Conference has selected six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities. The award is the most exclusive awarded by the Conference with just 20 honorees for each academic year.

Meghan McGlone Represents Landmark On All-America Team

The awards continue to pile on for Juniata College sophomore Meghan McGlone (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) as she was named to the 2009 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-American Third Team, announced November 25.
