Zach Ashworth Named Men's Basketball Academic All-American

In a season filled with numerous athletic achievements, Zach Ashworth (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West), a junior guard on The University of Scranton men's basketball team, earned the ultimate academic honor. He was named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American second team in a program sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Landmark Announces Men's Basketball All-Conference Team

A total of 12 student-athletes have been selected to the 2008-09 All-Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Team as selected by the conference’s eight head coaches. The team consists of a first and second team, with six players on each team, and the selections made by position. The voting for the All-Conference Team took place after the conclusion of the regular season and prior to the start of the Landmark postseason.

Landmark Earns Three Spots In NCAA Basketball Tournaments

A trio of Landmark Conference basketball teams will represent the conference in NCAA Division III Tournament play beginning Friday March 5. With Landmark Champions earning automatic bids for the first time, the champions in men’s and women’s basketball both earned automatic bids while one other Landmark team was selected to the field as an at-large participant.

Landmark Recognizes Eight Players of the Week

Following a week in which the conference crowned four team champions and one spring sport enjoyed its first full week of competition, a total of eight Landmark Student-Athletes have been chosen as Players of the Week. The Landmark Player of the Week selections are made by the Landmark Conference office.
