Drew Rolls On Second Day Of Tourney

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Drew men's soccer cruised to an 11-0 win over The College of Staten Island squad to take second place at the NJCU Liberty Cup. Shahyar Shroff scored a hat trick, first-year Jesse Puzio added a brace and six other Rangers tallied in the win.
The Rangers outshot the Dolphins 43-3 in the game as first-year
keeper Jeff Rogers didn't even get to make a save. Drew
improves to 3-1 while earning second place at the elite Liberty
Cup. NC-Wesleyan College defeated the hosts in the other game
and Drew took second on goal differential.
Greg Zizik scored his first of the season to open the scoring just
a minute into the match. Sophomore Vincent Costa added the
second 12 minutes later. A pair of freshman made the third as
Matthew Greenberg set up Jesse Puzio. Jim Rossi got his first
of the year after a nice pass from Andres Callejas in the 34th
minute. Rossi then found Puzio a minute later for the fifth
before halftime.
Shroff set up Callejas for Drew's first after the break and then scored the next two including his first collegiate goal. After Bobby Sprengel got one, Shroff tallied again. Mohammedi Ali finished off the scoring thanks to Sprengel's assist.
The win moves Drew to 3-1 on the season with a tough trip to Elizabethtown on Thursday.
