Merchant Marine Men’s Soccer Earns NSCAA Ethics & Sportsmanship Award
The United States Merchant Marine Academy men's soccer team has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for ethics and sportsmanship, receiving the organization's silver award.

Scranton's Bill McGuiness has been named a Second Team All-America selection by D3Soccer.com. Susquehanna's Brandon Kates was named to the Third Team.

Bill McGuiness Named Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete
The Landmark Conference has chosen six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. The University of Scranton’s Bill McGuiness has been named the Men’s Soccer Senior Scholar Athlete.

Landmark Men's Soccer Earns Regional Recognition.
Catholic, Scranton and Susquehanna all had players recognized by the NSCAA this week with All-Region honors. Susquehanna's Brandon Kates and Scranton's Bill McGuiness led the league with First Team recognition. Scranton head coach Matt Pivirotto was also recognized as Mid-Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year.

NSCAA Recognizes Six Landmark Teams with the Academic Award
The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the pitch. A total of 726 (222 men, 504 women) college soccer teams including six Landmark teams, posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2011-12 academic year.
