TOWSON, Md. – Juniata College's Dean Polisena has become just the second men's tennis player in Landmark history to take home both Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year honors in the same season. The freshman helped the Eagles go undefeated in conference play and finish as runner-up in the Landmark Championship.

Polisena went 16-3 in dual matches this season, all at No. 1. He finished 6-1 in conference matches with his lone loss coming to Scranton's David Teres. Polisena teamed up with Logan Moore in doubles and built a 10-8 record in doubles to round out his performance this season.

The All-Landmark First Team is made up of six singles players and three doubles teams. Polisena was one of three freshmen on the First Team this year, demonstrating the future of the men's tennis scene across the conference. Catholic's Juan Lorido went 14-2 in dual matches. After dropping regular season matches to Scranton and Juniata, Lorido avenged both in the conference tournament to help the Cardinals win their first Landmark title. James Hicks also earned First Team honors, becoming just the second Merchant Marine player to do so. He earned a 9-3 record at No. 1 singles this season and went 4-3 in conference play.

Joining the three freshmen are three returning First Team players. The 2013 Rookie of the Year, Seth Hoesman led Goucher at No. 1 singles and went 13-7 in dual matches this season. Teres is a three-time First Team All-Landmark performer. He moved to the No. 1 position this year and went 6-4 in dual matches. Juniata's Justin Wisniewski rounds out the First Team. He racked up an 18-1 dual record while earning a 7-0 record in the Landmark.

Lorido and Catholic teammate Cassian Utrie boast an undefeated 8-0 record to earn First Team honors. Hoesman combined with David Spivey to earn a 12-7 record. The doubles team of Teres and Brian Williams round out the First Team with a 7-2 record.

Juniata head coach Jason Cohen and his staff have been named Coaching Staff of the Year in just his third year at the helm. He inherited a team that went 8-9 in 2011-12 and Cohen has led the team to more than double the win total with a program record 17 this season.
