Scranton Swimmers Help In Fight Against Cancer

SCRANTON, Pa. - Tomm Evans, head men's and women's swim coach at The University of Scranton, has announced that his teams will join forces with Sanderson State Street this Monday, October 29th, in the fight against breast cancer.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Royal men's and women's swim teams and the staff of Sanderson State Street will sponsor a program entitled ‘Get Pinked' on the patio in front of the Gunster Student Center on campus from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.   For a donation of $5.00, patrons can get their hair streaked a shade of pink to help raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research.

Sanderson State Street, located in the Village Square Mall on South State Street in Clarks Summit, is a three-time recipient of Electric City's Best Saloon (2004, 2005, 2006) award.

Students, faculty and staff of the university can charge their donations to their Royal Card.
