Susquehanna Selects New Swimming Coach
World-class swimmer Dan Phillips has been named head coach of Susquehanna University men's and women's swimming & diving teams, and director of aquatics. He is the second to assume the coaching position in Susquehanna's history.

Juniata Selects New Women's Swimming Coach
Tom Benoit a former varsity swimmer at Westminster College (Pa.), has been named head women's swimming coach at Juniata College. He will begin his duties at Juniata in early August.

Drew Names New Swim Coach
Drew Athletics Director, Dr. Connee Zotos, has announced the hiring of Eric Scheingoltz as the new Head Coach of Mens and Womens Swimming. Previously an assistant at Columbia University, Scheingoltz brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to the Ranger program.

Landmark Saddened By Loss of Ged Schweikert
G. Edward "Ged" Schweikert III, died June 15, 2008 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after an eight-year battle with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the immune system. For 28 years, Ged served Susquehanna with distinction and compassion as associate professor of psychology and the university's first and only head swimming coach. He will be deeply missed as a teacher and friend.

Landmark Announces Winter Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has chosen six student-athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective winter sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the winter sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities.
