Landmark Announces Winter Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has chosen six student-athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective winter sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the winter sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities.

Paul DeAngelo Promoted To Scranton Head Swimming Coach
Toby Lovecchio, director of athletics at The University of Scranton, has announced the promotion of Paul DeAngelo from assistant mens and womens swim coach to head coach, effective immediately.

Landmark Releases Updated All-Sport Standings
On the strength of three team championships during the winter season The University of Scranton has surged to the top of the Landmark Conference All-Sport Trophy standings through the completion of the winter sports season. The Royals, who were in second place through the fall season, sit at the top of the standings with 7.28 points. Juniata College dropped into the second position with 6.59 points, with Moravian College just percentage points behind at 6.55. Susquehanna University rounds out the top four with 5.95 points.

Landmark Announces Winter All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2007-08 Winter Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically.

USMMA Caps Competition At NCAA Championships
The United States Merchant Marine Academy mens swimming and diving team finished 25th at the NCAA Championships on Saturday with 34.5 points. Freshman Nicholas Halbach was named an All-American for the second time after placing second in the 3-meter diving event.
