Landmark Honors Second Semester Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has chosen fourteen student-athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective winter and spring sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities. It is the most exclusive award given out by the conference with just 20 honorees for each academic year.

Scranton Moves To Top Of President's All-Sports Cup Standings
The University of Scranton Royals have claimed the top spot in the Landmark President’s All-Sports Cup standings after the completion of the winter season. Twelve of the twenty sports in the Landmark Conference have now concluded leaving institutions only the spring season to leave their mark on the standings. After claiming three Landmark Conference Championships Scranton has accumulated a score of 7.65 to edge out previous leader Susquehanna University’s score of 7.38.

Landmark Honors Thirty-Two Student-Athletes On Winter All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2009Winter Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically. Nominees could compete in any of the Landmark winter sports and must be a sophomore or older with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Landmark Releases Winter Academic Honor Roll
The Landmark Conference has recognized 236 student-athletes by selecting them for the 2009 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. The honorees were selected from all eight Landmark Conference institutions.

Susquehanna's Huber Earns All-America Status
Susquehanna University's freshman Graham Huber (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) tied for eighth place out of 14 athletes in the men's high jump at the 2009 NCAA Division III indoor track & field championships, held at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's Sports and Recreation Center field house from March 13-14. Huber competed on March 14.

Moravian Sits In Fifth Place At NCAA Indoor Track Championships
The Moravian College women’s track & field team had three competitors on the first day of the 2009 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships being hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with two of them earning All-America honors. The team is currently tied for fifth with ten points.

A total of four Landmark Conference student-athletes will represent their institutions at the 2009 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind. March 13-14.

Landmark Crowns Two Team Champions In Indoor Track & Field
One team defended its title and another claimed the first conference title in program history as the Moravian College women and Susquehanna University men earned team championships at the Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday afternoon at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa.

Teams Ready For Landmark Indoor Track & Field Championships
Five indoor track & field programs will try and earn their first conference titles while the defending men’s and women’s champions of Moravian College will work to defend their crown when competition begins at the 2009 Landmark Indoor Track & and Field Championships Saturday Feb. 28 at the Garrett Sports Complex on the campus of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa.

Simpson Notches Provisional Qualifying Mark At Susquehanna Open
The Susquehanna University men's track & field team hosted the Susquehanna Open at the James W. Garrett Sports Complex field house on Feb. 21. Junior Josh Simpson (North Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) broke a 13-year-old school record to lead Susquehanna with a first-place finish in the 55-meter dash. Simpson’s time of 6.44 seconds provisionally qualifies him for the 2009 NCAA Division III indoor track & field championships.

Buffenmyer And Johnson Lead Eagles As Susquehanna Invite
Juniata College senior Kelsey Buffenmyer (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) ran a season-best time of 9.26 seconds in the 55m high hurdles, while junior Ryan Johnson (Mountaintop, Pa./Crestwood) set a new school record in the 35-lb. weight throw, to highlight Juniata College results at Saturday's Susquehanna Invitational.

Susquehanna University's sophomore Bobby Eppleman (Chester Springs, Pa./Great Valley) and junior Steve Drosdick (Verona, N.J./Verona) competed in the Ursinus Pentathlon at Ursinus College's Floy Lewis Bakes Field House on Jan. 28.

Heim's Provisional Mark Paces Greyhounds At Orange & Maroon Classic
The Moravian women's track team returned to action for the first time in 2009 by competing at the non-scoring Orange & Maroon Classic hosted by Landmark Conference rival Susquehanna University. Moravian had three individual first place finishes in the field events led by junior Anna Heim capturing the pole vault in an NCAA Division III provisional and Eastern College Athletic Conference qualifying height of 3.66 meters (12 feet).

enior Kelsey Buffenmyer (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in the high jump, to highlight Juniata College performances at the West Virginia University Holiday Classic indoor track meet on Saturday in Morgantown, W.Va.

Crusaders Kick Off Indoor Track Season at Bucknell
The Susquehanna University men’s and women's track & field teams opened up the indoor portion of its 2008–09 season by competing at Bucknell University’s non-team-scoring Bison Opener at Gerhard Fieldhouse on Dec. 6.

Walt Wandall has been named the head coach of the Moravian College men’s and women’s track & field teams and the director of the Moravian men’s and women’s cross country programs.
