March 3, 2010Drew Tops Local Rival In 2010 Opener
The Drew University Rangers kicked off their 2010 campaign with an 11-9 victory over the FDU-Florham Devils Wednesday afternoon in Madison. Behind hat-tricks from Lyndsay Rossi and Cara Jefferies, the Rangers improved to at 1-0, while the Devils dropped to 0-1.

Landmark Honors Second Semester Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has chosen fourteen student-athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective winter and spring sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities. It is the most exclusive award given out by the conference with just 20 honorees for each academic year.

Landmark Releases Spring All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2009 Spring Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically.

Catholic's Kate Robinson Named Women's Lacrosse All-American
Seventy-seven goals, 121 points, 45 caused turnovers, 44 assists, finishing fourth in the nation in points, and what does all of this lead to? Junior Kate Robinson becoming the first Catholic University women's lacrosse first team All-American in program history.

In a thrilling first round game of the NCAA Championships, the Catholic University of America women's lacrosse team defeated the Falcons of Messiah College by a score of 9-8. With the win, the team improves to 16-3 overall, and will advance to the Regional Semifinals of the NCAA Tournament

Landmark Honors Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Squad
With the second season of Landmark womens lacrosse competition in the books and a pair of teams heading to the NCAA Tournament the 2009 All-Landmark Conference Womens Lacrosse team has been selected as voted by the conferences six head coaches. The All-Landmark team includes a first and second team with the selections made by position, and the vote taking place before the postseason.

Landmark Sending Four Teams To NCAA Tournaments
A total of four Landmark Conference teams have earned the right to represent the conference in NCAA Division III Tournament play as announced Monday morning. First-round play in the Division III Mens Lacrosse and Womens Lacrosse Tournaments will begin on Wednesday, with regional action in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament starting on Thursday. Game times for all the first-round games have not yet been released.

Cardinals Win Thrilling Final To Earn Women's Lacrosse Landmark Championship
The Catholic University women's lacrosse team avenged last month's loss to Drew University by defeating the Rangers 11-10 in a thrilling Landmark Conference Championship game Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 14-3 overall, earning their second conference championship in as many years.

The #11 Catholic University women's lacrosse team proved once again why they are one of the most dominant teams in the NCAA, defeating conference foe Scranton University 18-5 in round one of the Landmark Conference Tournament Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the team advances to the championship game to be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 1 p.m.

Drew womens lacrosse defeated Goucher 13-9 in the Landmark Conference semifinals to advance to the championship game. The Rangers will host Catholic on Saturday at 1 pm. Cara Jeffries scored three and assisted on three others as the Rangers held off the Gophers.

Landmark Spring Sports Championships Kick Off On Tuesday
The Landmark Conference will conclude its second season of competition as conference postseason championships begin with semifinal action starting on Tuesday April 28 and Wednesday April 29. Postseason play will continue May 1 with championships being held on May 2 and May 3.

Drew Women's Lacrosse Collects Fourth-Straight Win
Drew womens lacrosse played well early and late to survived a Tiger rally in the middle as it defeated Colorado College, 16-8, at Ranger Stadium. Drew led 10-2 at the break before finishing with the contests final four tallies to resist a 6-2 CC run. Stacie Brown led Drew with five goals and an assist. The Rangers (7-6) climbed over the .500 mark with the win over the well regarded Tigers (10-3).

Scranton Starts Fast And Holds On For Non-Conference Win
The University of Scranton womens lacrosse team reversed a trend in tonights 17-11 victory over Mount St. Vincent College at Fitzpatrick Field. After getting out of the gates slowly in dropping their last three games, the Royals jumped out to an 11-5 lead by intermission, only to hold off a second-half surge by the Dolphins to improve to 2-3 on the season. The loss dropped Mount St. Vincent to 5-2.

The Goucher women's lacrosse team allowed an 11-3 lead five minutes into the second half to completely evaporate this afternoon, but after New England strung together eight goals to pull into an 11-11 tie, the Gophers re-grouped and tallied the final three goals of the game to emerge with a 14-11 triumph over the Nor'easters.

Drew Women's Lacrosse Opens Season With A Victory
Drew women's lacrosse opened its 2009 campaign with a win at Montclair State, 13-9. Sophomore Brook Connell scored three goals and assisted on another as the Rangers built a four goal lead early in the second half that they would hold for the remained of the win. Connell's classmates Stacie Brown and Sloane Coles each registered a hat-trick as well.

Susquehanna Universitys head womens lacrosse coach and assistant director of athletics Brenda Brewer is resigning from her positions for family and personal reasons, effective Oct. 17. Brewer was also Susquehannas senior woman administrator.
