Goal And Assist From Paskman Help Royals Past Eagles
HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Freshman midfielder Chelsea Paskman (Chalfont,
Pa./Central Bucks South) scored a goal and added an assist to lead
The University of Scranton to a 3-0 victory over Juniata College in
Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.
The Royals also received a goal from sophomore midfielders Emily
MacPhee (Holland, Pa./Council Rock) and Erin Unterstein (Lincroft,
N.J./Middletown South) and sophomore forward Beth Stephens
(Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) contributed an assist as Scranton
snapped a two-match losing streak to improve to 5-8-1 overall and
3-1 in conference play. The loss dropped the Eagles to 7-4-2
overall and 1-2-1 in the league.
Paskman buried a shot from the left perimeter for her fourth goal
of the season, unassisted, less than four minutes into the match.
Late in the first-half, MacPhee ran down an errant shot by Stephens
that appeared to be going over the end line and tapped in a shot
for her first goal of the season.
The Royals put the match out of reach on a goal by Unterstein in
the 53rd minute on a ball served up by Paskman. Defensively,
Scranton did not allow a shot on goal.
Scranton will host Moravian College in a key Landmark Conference
match this Tuesday, October 16, at Fitzpatrick Field beginning at
7:00 p.m. Scranton and Moravian are currently tied for first-place
in the Landmark Conference with nine points apiece, although
Moravian has played one less match and has one less loss in the
