Landmark Honors Six Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has chosen six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities.

Susquehanna Leads President's All-Sports Cup Standings After Fall Season
On the strength of claiming three Landmark Conference Championships during the fall, Susquehanna University sits atop the Landmark President’s All-Sports Cup standings after the completion of the fall sports season. With six of the Landmark’s 20 sports having finished their seasons, Susquehanna is atop the standings with a score of 7.67. Juniata College, who was in first place in the fall of the 2007 season sits in second place with 7.00 points. The University of Scranton and The Catholic University of America round out the top half of the standings with 6.08 and 5.92 points respectively.

Landmark Women's Soccer Earns Five All-Region Nods
Five Landmark Conference women's soccer players closed their season by earning spots on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The conference earned two first-team selections, one second-team choice and a pair of third-team honorees.

Thirty-Two Student-Athletes Named To Fall All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2008 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically. Nominees could compete in any of the Landmark fall sports and must be a sophomore or older with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Landmark Announces Fall Academic Honor Roll
The Landmark Conference has recognized 354 student-athletes by selecting them for the 2008 Fall Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. The honorees were selected from all eight Landmark Conference institutions.

Drew’s Ann Mularz was selected to the ESPN The Magazine National Academic All-America® second team. This extraordinary honor recognizes Mularz’s outstanding performance on the field as well as her exemplary academic record.

Landmark Names Women's Soccer All-Conference Team
Twenty-four student-athletes have been selected to the 2008 All-Landmark Conference Women’s Soccer team as voted by the conference’s seven head coaches. The All-Landmark Team includes a first and second team with 12 honorees on each team, with the selections being made by position. The voting for the All-Conference Team took place after the conclusion of the regular season and prior to the start of the Landmark postseason.

Landmark Sends Four Teams To NCAA Tournaments
A total of four Landmark Conference teams will represent the conference in the NCAA Division III Tournaments with play the first action taking place on Thursday, Nov. 13. The Landmark Conference Champions in volleyball, men’s soccer and women’s soccer all earned bids, while the Landmark earned a second team in the men’s soccer tournament

Golden Goal Lifts Moravian To Women's Soccer Championship
Freshman forward Arielle Caldas netted the golden goal in the 108th minute to lift top seeded Moravian to a 1-0, double-overtime victory over second seed The Catholic University of America in the 2008 Landmark Conference Championship match on the HUB Quad.

Fall Season Will Conclude With Championship Saturday
The second fall sports season in Landmark Conference history will come to a close on Saturday Nov. 8 as the conference holds championships in four sports. Championship matches will be held in field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball at the site of the highest seed remaining in the four-team postseasons.

Senior goalie Caitlin Corrigan made six saves to earn her 50th career victory and lead top seeded Moravian to a 2-0 victory over fourth seed Juniata College in a Landmark Conference Semifinal match on the HUB Quad.

Schedule Is Set For Landmark Fall Postseason
Four Landmark Conference fall sports will begin conference postseason play this week, following the conclusion of the regular season on Saturday. Semifinal competition in field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer, along with quarterfinals in women's volleyball will take place on Wednesday Nov. 5, with conference championships to be played on Saturday Nov. 8.

Tompeck Leads Crusaders To Rivalry Match Win
Senior Meredith Tompeck (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) made a game-high 11 saves, including a fully extended diving effort with the game on the line in the 74th minute, to shut out Lycoming College and help visiting Susquehanna University to a 1–0 non-conference win in the 2008 “River Derby” game at the Shangraw Complex on Oct. 27.

Drew women’s soccer had its best offensive day of the season with a 3-0 win at DeSales. Megan Fogarty and Alyssa Goodman both scored in the first twenty minutes of play before Abby Dingle added her first collegiate goal in the second half. Ann Mularz made seven saves in goal for the Rangers (5-4-2).

The University of Scranton’s women's soccer defense came to the forefront once again in Saturday’s Landmark Conference match against Drew University in Landmark Conference at Fitzpatrick Field. The Royals limited the Rangers to just three shots on goal and took advantage of goals by senior midfielder Kristi Cordier (Skillman, N.J./Montgomery Township) and junior forward Eileen Sodano (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) to pull out a 2-0 victory.
