Landmark Women's Soccer Earns Five All-Region Nods

MADISON, N.J. - Five Landmark Conference women's soccer players
closed their season by earning spots on the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America/Adidas All-Region Teams. The conference
earned two first-team selections, one second-team choice and a pair
of third-team honorees.
Landmark Champions Moravian were responsible for both first-team
choices as seniors Tracy Fitzpatrick and Katelyn Killea both earned
that honor. Scranton sophomore Chelsea Paskman was a second-team
choice, and Drew senior Ann Mularz and Catholic senior Elyse
Bellardini both were named to the third-team.
Fitzpatrick, who was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player
of the Year for the second straight season, led the 2007 Greyhounds
in scoring with 11 goals and eight assists for 30 points including
three game-winning goals and her first two career hat tricks.
Fitzpatrick is third in school history with 87 points in her career
of 33 goals, ranked third in the record books, and 21 assists,
which is tied for second, in just three seasons. Fitzpatrick, who
has been an All-Landmark Conference First Team selection the last
two seasons, was on the NSCAA/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second
Team last fall.
Killea, who was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team,
posted one goal and one assist from her defensive positions. She
has moved to sweeper due to an injury midway through the season.
Killea, pictured at left, was just one of three Moravian players to
start in all 22 matches this fall, and she helped the Greyhound
defense post a 0.65 goals-against average with 11 shutouts this
season.
Paskman, a first-team all-Landmark Conference selection this past
season, led the Royals of first-year head coach Colleen Murphy in
assists (10) and finished third overall in total points (12) as
Scranton posted an 11-8 record. In 35 matches over the past two
seasons, Paskman has scored six goals and assisted on 13 others for
25 total points. In 2007, she was named the Landmark Conference
Rookie of the Year and a first-team selection as the Royals won the
conference title.
Mularz was tabbed as the Mid-Atlantic’s third team goal
keeper. Mularz’s stellar season in goal for the Rangers was
rewarded with the Landmark Defensive Player of the Year honor as
well as the first team goalkeeper place along with Caitlin Corrigan
of Moravian. The keeper led the Landmark and ranked 26th in the
NCAA in save percentage (.871). Her 0.73 mark placed her second in
the conference in Goals Against Average and she led the Landmark
with eight shutouts. Four times this season she was named the
Landmark’s Defensive Player of the Week. Mularz was selected
to the CoSida/ESPN The Magazine National Academic All-American
second team and Academic All-District II first team due to her
performance on the field as well as her flawless record as a
chemistry major.
Bellardini was named to the All-Region team for the second time,
making her the first CUA women's soccer player to earn All-Region
honors twice in her career. Bellardini also received first team
All-Conference honors from the Landmark Conference after earning
offensive player of the week on November 3. Bellardini finished the
season with six goals and 15 points, both among CUA leaders and
helped the Cardinals reach the Landmark Championship match.
The Landmark sent one team to the NCAA Championship following the
2008 season, and also qualified a team for the ECAC postseason.
