Moravian Women's Tennis Pulls Out Tight Win
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Moravian College women's tennis team extended its winning streak to three straight matches, defeating Wilkes University, 5-4, in a non-conference battle between regionally-ranked teams Monday afternoon at Hoffman Courts.
The Greyhounds entered the match ranked 18th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic South while the Colonels were ranked 12th. Moravian won two of the three doubles matches. Junior Kerry McKinley and sophomore Jami Fein posted a win at first singles while sophomore Anna Meola and freshman Chelsea Ott earned a win at second doubles.
The Greyhounds captured three of the six singles contests to capture the match. Meola posted a straight sets win at fifth singles to seal the victory for Moravian while Fein had a straight sets victory at first singles. Ott won in three sets at second singles.
