Scranton Drops Hard-Fought NCAA Opener
The University of Scranton women’s tennis team made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament on Friday, but the Royals’ memorable day ended in heart-breaking fashion as Ithaca College won four of six singles matches to rally for a 5-4 victory over the Royals in an NCAA Tournament first-round match at Middlebury College on Friday afternoon.

The University of Scranton women’s tennis team will travel to Middlebury, Vt. for the first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in program history, where the Royals will face Ithaca College in a first-round match on Friday, May 11.

Scranton Edges Drew In Women's Tennis Semifinal
The University of Scranton women’s tennis team earned a little payback for a regular season loss by knocking off Drew University, 5-3, in a Landmark Conference semifinal on Tuesday. The victory puts the Royals into Saturday’s final against the winner of the other semifinal between Moravian and Susquehanna.

Drew Outlasts Moravian In Women's Tennis Thriller
In dramatic fashion the Rangers came from behind and won the final two singles matches to pull out a 5-4 victory over Moravian (2-5, 0-1 Landmark) this afternoon. The near four-hour match improved the Rangers to 2-0 in the Landmark Conference and 3-2 overall.

CUA opened Landmark Conference play with a convincing 7-2 win over Susquehanna on Saturday. Margie Selinger, Rita Holden, Caitlin Porter, Elaina Sceusa and Isabel Tanco earned singles wins for the Cardinals, while Andie Ingram and Tanco, along with Holden and Porter won doubles matches.
