Susquehanna Women's Tennis Tops Moravian
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Susquehanna women's tennis team went on the road and earned a Landmark victory over Moravian, Thursday afternoon.
The women improved to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in league play. The
Crusaders won four of six singles matches as Shelby O’Riley
(Ware, Mass./Quabbin Regional) won 6-0, 6-3 and Jessica Klinger
(Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) won 6-3, 6-4. Abby Hess (Hughesville,
Pa./Hughesville) followed that with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at fourth
singles and Brielle Ferlauto (Neshanic Station, N.J./Somerville)
picked up the fourth win in singles action with a 6-4, 6-2
decision.
SU went on to take two of three doubles matches. Moravian won at
first doubles before Klinger and Julia Lerner (Arlington,
Va./Washington-Lee) defeated Carly Agrifolio and Erica Venuti 8-6.
Ferlauto and Ellen Pulsinelle (Lyndhurst, N.J./Immaculate
Conception) then defeated their opponents 6-4, 6-2.
The team will return to action on April 11 with a 4 p.m. match at Juniata.
