HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College women's volleyball will depart for its 31st consecutive NCAA Championship run and will first meet Cabrini College on Friday, Nov. 11 at 3:00 p.m., in the first round of the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Aston, Pa.
No. 6 Juniata (25-7) and Cabrini (22-10) will be meeting in the first round match for the third time in a row at Neumann University's Mirenda Center for Sport, Spirituality and Character Development. No. 4 Eastern University is the technical host of the regional tournament, but all matches will be played on the campus of Neumann.
As the Landmark Conference's tournament champion, Juniata received an automatic qualifier into the tournament, while Cabrini clinched its third consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference title.
In addition to the Eagles' contest at 3:00 p.m., University of Mount Union (24-7) and Lebanon Valley College (22-9) are also slated to play at 12:30 p.m. Following the Juniata-Cabrini match, Hiram College (26-8) will face Stevenson University (31-3) at 5:30 p.m. Host Eastern University (32-2) will play Penn State Altoona (18-11) to conclude the day of competition at 8:00 p.m.
The tournament's semifinals matches will take place on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., with Juniata potentially appearing in the first semifinal contest. The Regional Championship is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4:00 p.m.
Juniata heads into the tournament with victories over Moravian College (3-0) and Susquehanna University (3-1) in the Landmark Conference tournament, marking their 31st straight conference championship. The Eagles have a 10-3 neutral site record on the season, as well as a 2-6 record against opponents ranked on the AVCA Coaches Poll the day of the match.
