Kelly Crimmins Chosen as Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete
The Landmark Conference has chosen six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. Catholic University’s Kelly Crimmins has been named the Volleyball Senior Scholar Athlete.

Landmark Names Fall All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced the selection of 32 student-athletes to the 2012 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team. The top two male and two female student-athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions who met the award requirements have been honored.

Landmark Players Named AVCA Honorable Mention All-Americans
The American Volleyball Coaches Association recently announced the 2012 All-American teams and four Landmark players were named to Honorable Mention. Moravian seniors libero Jesse Krasley and right-side hitter Samantha Savite along with Susquehanna senior outside hitter Emily Carson and Juniata junior middle Courtney Lydick were recognized.

No. 23 Juniata Fall 3-1 to No. 4 Emory in Regional Semifinal
Despite winning the first game, the No. 23 Juniata women's volleyball team could not find an answer for No. 4 Emory's attack and fell 3-1 (19-25, 28-26, 25-19, 25-18) in the NCAA Division III Regional Semifinal Saturday afternoon. Juniata (25-12) is now 98-38 all-time in the tournament.

No. 23 Juniata Advances in NCAA Tournament With 3-0 Sweep of Trinity (Tex.)
No. 23 Juniata swept Trinity (Tex.) 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-8) in its first match of the NCAA Division III Tournament Friday afternoon at the Freeman Center.

Six Landmark Teams Voted Best in Sportmanship
Following the completion of the fall sports season six teams have been recognized for sportsmanship. The Landmark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) created a Sportsmanship Cup in the fall of 2009 and by the end of the year, one institution will be awarded the coveted trophy.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association recently announced the 2012 All-Region teams and four Landmark players were named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team.

Volleyball All-Conference Teams Announced
Catholic senior Claudia Jean has been named Landmark Conference Volleyball Player of the Year and Moravian senior Jesse Krasley the Specialist of the Year. Krasley’s teammate Victoria Bobyak was chosen as Rookie of the Year.

Juniata Volleyball to Take On Trinity (Texas) in NCAA Tournament
Juniata College women's volleyball will depart for its 32nd consecutive NCAA Championship run and will first meet Trinity on Friday, Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m. in the first round of the Regional in Newport News, Va.

No. 23 Juniata (23-11) avoided an upset Saturday morning in the Landmark Conference women's volleyball semifinals by defeating Susquehanna University 3-1 (25-27, 25-12, 25-16, 25-11).

No. 2 Catholic Advances to First Landmark Volleyball Championship With 3-2 Win Over No. 3 Moravian
The Catholic University of America defeated Moravian College 3-2, Saturday afternoon in the Landmark Conference Semifinals. The Cardinals won by set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-18, 21-25 and 15-13.

The Juniata College volleyball team won its sixth straight Landmark Conference Championship and 32nd consecutive conference championship with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-22) Saturday night.

With Hurricane Sandy threatening the mid-Atlantic region early this week, the field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball tournament games scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 31 have all been moved to Thursday, Nov. 1. All of the game times will remain the same.
