TOWSON, Md. – After claiming its 11th conference title last season, Juniata College was selected as the favorite in the Landmark preseason coaches’ poll, which is voted on by the league’s seven head coaches.

Juniata and eighth-year head coach Heather Pavlik collected six first-place votes and 60 total points to headline this year’s poll. The Eagles are in search of its 12th straight title crown. Juniata finished its 2017 season 24-9.

The University of Scranton, led by sixth-year head coach Jamie Spangler was picked to finish second in the 2018 poll. The Royals collected the remaining first-place vote and 50 total points. Scranton handed Juniata its first conference loss since 1981 last season. Additionally, the Royals posted a 35-5 record in 2017, a program best.
