Hendershot turned in a tremendous showing in the long jump at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout, held at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, smashing her school record by over eight inches. She came in third in a field of 46 and was the top Division III finisher, placing behind only Ija Mumford of Howard (19-5) and Rett Schnoorf of Monmouth (18-7 1/2). She is now ranked sixth in Division III in the event.
