Catholic’s Christian Di Nicolantonio further cemented his place atop the Division III indoor pole vault rankings with a record-breaking performance at the Doc Hale Meet hosted by Virginia Tech. The senior cleared 5.25 meters (17 feet, 2 ¾ inches), breaking his school and Landmark Conference records while extending his lead as the top vaulter in Division III this season.
Di Nicolantonio’s mark places him among an elite group, becoming just the 14th vaulter in Division III history to clear 5.25 meters. His jump is also the highest in Division III since UW-Stout’s Noah Zastrow cleared 5.40 meters in 2021. Competing against Division I competition, Di Nicolantonio placed sixth overall and narrowly missed clearing 5.40 meters, a height that would have matched the top mark in the Unseeded event.
