Nguyen opened the championship with a 3-over-par 75, which included two birdies to give her a three-stroke lead over reigning Player of the Year Lauren Lombardo of Catholic University. Staying consistent, the first-year once again carded a 3-over-par 75 on day two, finishing with a two-day total of 150 (+6) and a six-stroke victory.
She becomes the third player in conference history to earn both Player and Rookie of the Year honors in women's golf, joining former Drew standouts Marissa Broderick, who achieved the feat during the league’s inaugural season and Kaya Diaz (2022). She is also the fourth Ranger to be named Player of the Year and the fourth to be recognized as Rookie of the Year.
