Rainero becomes the fifth Ranger to be named Rookie of the Year and the first since 2017. One of just two first-year players to earn First Team All-Conference honors this spring, he was a dominant force at the faceoff X. He went 176-for-223 (.789) in Landmark play and leads the league in both faceoffs wins (305) and ground balls (209), including a conference-best 133 ground balls in league action. Nationally, Rainero ranks third in Division III in total faceoff winning percentage and leads the nation in total faceoff wins. On April 26 against Juniata, Rainero broke the Landmark single-season records for both faceoffs won (290) and ground balls (200), while also setting a new Drew program record, and tied the NCAA Division III record for ground balls in a single game with 31.
