After being named the 2025 Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year, Brunet carried his momentum into indoor track & field to earn Rookie of the Year honors. He is the first rookie to receive the award since CeeJa Beckett in 2019 and the third overall in Landmark Conference history. Brunet won the mile at the championship, setting a new meet record with a time of 4:17.56, breaking the previous mark set by Donnie Noble of Moravian University in 2012. He also finished third in the 3,000-meter run, earning Honorable Mention honors.
