Cross was the best hitter on the Colonels last week, going 5-for-11 at the plate for a .455 batting average in four games against Widener and Elizabethtown. In Wilkes’ doubleheader against the Pride, Cross hit three home runs for a total of six RBIs. One of those home runs was a go-ahead, three-run blast in the seventh inning of game one to help the Colonels secure a 5-3 comeback victory. Against the Blue Jays, Cross went 2-for-5 and added a run over the series.
