Kazancevs becomes the third player in program history to earn Player of the Year honors and the first since 2015, when Dean Polisena earned back-to-back recognition in 2014 and 2015. He joins Polisena as the only Eagle to receive the award, while also becoming just the fourth player in Landmark Conference history to earn both Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year honors, a group that includes Polisena.
Kazancevs posted a 14-2 overall record in singles play, competing exclusively at the No. 1 position, and went 8-1 in Landmark Conference matches, dropping just one conference singles contest during the season. In doubles action, he finished 11-5 overall, including a 5-3 mark in Landmark play, while also anchoring the top of the lineup for Juniata throughout the year.
