Alch was outstanding in Sunday's season-opening contest, facing the minimum and allowing just one hit across five scoreless innings of a seven-inning contest. Alch allowed just a single and picked off a runner to move through the Dickinson lineup. Alch struck out eight and left the game in position for the win, but ultimately ended up with a no-decision as Dickinson tied the game in the top of the sixth before Catholic walked it off.
