Brooke Smith of Catholic University became the third Cardinal to earn Rookie of the Year. She joins Tess Murphy and current assistant coach Mary Colella who were named Rookies of the Year in 2019.
Smith earned Rookie of the Year by finishing as the top first-year player with the lowest total score. She shot 160 (+18) for the tournament and an impressive 77 (+6) in the second round to secure a share of fourth place with teammate Lauren Lombardo. Smith carded three birdies during her final round and played the front nine at even par. Her 77 was the second-lowest day two round of any player in the field.
