Watson cemented his legacy in the conference after his stellar senior campaign. The outfielder set new conference season records in batting average (.491), hits (82), and total bases (140), and is the new career leader with 19 triples. The two-time First Team selection finished the 2023 season with a .491 batting average, 42 RBI, 21 doubles, eight triples, and seven homerun's. He helped the Blue Jays to a 31-11 overall record and 16-2 in conference play, which secured Etown the top seed in the Landmark Baseball Championship. Patrolling center field, Watson committed no errors and had 80 putouts and one assist.
Watson is the fourth Blue Jay to be honored as the conference player of the year since Elizabethtown joined the conference in 2014. He and the Blue Jays will continue their season as Etown received an at-large bid to the NCAA DIII Baseball Tournament.
