Gaynor raced to a third-place finish among 153 runners to lead the Rangers to a seventh-place finish out of 19 schools on Saturday. He stormed through the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26 minutes, seven seconds. He was the second Division III finisher and placed behind only race winner Michael Chipi of Division I Mount St. Mary's (25:33) and Dylan May of Southern Virginia (25:46). Gaynor has now placed third in each of his first two races this season.
