Heinio-Widell posted an incredible showing in helping Drew capture its seventh straight Rangers Invitational title. He won all eight events he competed in, including all five relays, and helped break school and meet records in nine events. In addition, he helped set three Landmark Conference records and achieved two NCAA B cuts (one relay, one individual). In the relays, Heinio-Widell and the Rangers set school and meet records in the 200-freestyle (1:21.79), 400-freestyle (3:04.90), 800-freestyle (6:48.95), 200-medley (1:31.64), and 400-medley (3:22.51) Landmark Conference records in the 200-free, 800-free, and 400-medley. In both the 200- and 400-free relays, his leadoff splits of 20.42 for the 50 and 45.20 for the 100 set both school and meet records. In the 200-free relay, both his split and the relay's overall time were NCAA B cuts. In addition, he set Drew and Ranger Invitational records in winning the 100-breaststroke (56.79) and 200-freestyle (1:40.80).
