Ambrogio opened the season by going 6-1 in singles and 1-0 in doubles for the week. He helped the Rangers to a 6-3 season-opening victory over Manhattanville with victories at both No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles. He followed up by going 5-1 in the singles "B" and "C" draws at the ITA Division III Northeast Regional Championships. In his five victories at the tournament, none of his opponents won more than two games against him. His only loss was a three-set verdict in the "B" draw (4-2, 4-5 (5-7), 7-5).
