Landmark Names All-Conference Volleyball Team
MADISON, N.J. - Following the first completed regular season in
Landmark Conference history, 14 student-athletes have been selected
to the 2007 All-Landmark Conference Volleyball Team as selected by
the conference's seven head coaches. The team consists of a first
and second team, with seven players on each team, and the coaches
selected the team by position.
Juniata College, which went a perfect 6-0 in conference play
during the season and is currently ranked second in Division III,
placed six players on the All-Conference Team. Juniata junior Amber
Thomas was also selected as the Landmark Player of the Year, and
sophomore Megan Sollenberger was picked as the Specialist of the
Year. Moravian College freshman Mary King was selected as the
Landmark Rookie of the Year. The Catholic University of America
coaching staff, led by Head Coach Nagy Abdelrazek, was voted the
Coaching Staff of the Year.
The Landmark Conference volleyball postseason will get underway
Wednesday night with Juniata hosting Moravian in one semifinal, and
Catholic welcoming the University of Scranton in the other
semifinal.
