Landmark Selects Men's Soccer All-Conference Team

MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference has honored twenty-four student-athletes with selections to the to the 2007 All-Landmark Conference Men's Soccer team as voted by the conference's seven head coaches. The inaugural All-Landmark Team includes a first and second team with 12 honorees on each team, with the selections being made by position.

Regular season conference champion the United States Merchant Marine Academy had the most honorees with six spots on the All-Conference team. The Mariners also had the Defensive Player of the Year with senior back Chris Nitta earning the honor. Head Coach Michael Smolens and his staff were also chosen as the Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year. University of Scranton senior forward Tim Logan was one of three Royals on the team, and he was honored as the Offensive Player of the Year. Susquehanna freshman midfielder Jim Robertiello earned second-team All-Landmark recognition and was picked as the Rookie of the Year.

Seven All-Landmark performers will be in action on Saturday Nov. 3 when second-seed Drew University hosts fourth-seed Scranton in the fist Landmark Men's Soccer Championship match.
