Men's Soccer All-Conference Team Announced
MADISON, N.J. – The Landmark Conference has honored
twenty-four student-athletes with selections to the to the 2008
All-Landmark Conference Men’s Soccer team as voted by the
conference’s eight head coaches. The inaugural All-Landmark
Team includes a first and second team with 12 honorees on each
team, with the selections being made by position. The voting for
the All-Conference Team took place after the conclusion of the
regular season and prior to the start of the Landmark
postseason.
Regular season conference champion Drew University earned the most
honorees with six selections after going unbeaten in conference
play during the regular season. The team’s junior forward
Greg Zizik was also voted the Offensive Player of the Year.
Susquehanna University senior defender Isaac Laubach captured
Defensive Player of the Year honors, and The Catholic University of
America freshman Michael DiMarco (Voorhees, N.J./St Joseph’s
Prep) was picked as the Landmark Rookie of the Year. In addition,
Catholic Head Coach Travis Beauchamp and his staff were selected as
the Coaching Staff of the Year.
All eight Landmark institutions earned at least one spot on the
All-Conference Team.
