MADISON, N.J. - Following the first completed regular season in Landmark Conference history, 12 student-athletes have been selected to the 2007-08 All-Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Team as selected by the conference's eight head coaches. The team consists of a first and second team, with six players on each team, and the selections made by position.

The top three seeds for the Landmark postseason all earned multiple spots on the All-Landmark Team. Second seed Juniata College was the only squad with three All-Conference choices while top seed The University of Scranton and third seed Moravian College each had two. Scranton did earn several additional awards as senior Kathleen Daly was selected as the Landmark Player of the Year. Her teammate freshman Megan Kopecki was named the Landmark Rookie of the Year. United States Merchant Marina Academy sophomore guard Brooke Picillo (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) was selected as the Landmark Defensive Player of the Year though she did not claim a spot on the All-Conference Team. Moravian Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk and her staff were recognized as the Coaching Staff of the Year.

The All-Landmark Team was strong with underclassmen as four freshmen and two sophomores earned All-Conference honors. Three of the four seniors chosen for the All-Conference Team were first team selections.

The Landmark Conference women's basketball postseason will get underway Wednesday night with Scranton hosting USMMA in one semifinal, and Juniata welcoming Moravian in the other semifinal.
