Softball All-Conference Team Selected
MADISON, N.J. – With the inaugural regular season now
complete 22 student-athletes have been named to the 2008
All-Landmark Conference Softball Team as voted by the
conference’s seven head coaches. The All-Landmark Team
includes a first and second team with 12 selections on each team.
The voting for the team was done by position.
Moravian College, which went unbeaten during Landmark play, had
seven players selected for the team including six players on the
first team. The Greyhounds also swept the individual honors. Kelly
Santry was voted as the Player of the Year, Maria DeBonis was
picked as the Pitcher of the Year and pitcher Elizabeth Python was
selected as the Rookie of the Year. In addition Moravian Head Coach
John Byrne and his staff were voted as the Coaching Staff of the
Year. All seven Landmark Teams placed at least two players on the
team.
