Landmark Releases Field Hockey All-Conference Team
MADISON, N.J. – Twenty-five student-athletes have been
recognized by the Landmark Conference as members of the 2010
All-Landmark Conference Field Hockey Team, as selected by the seven
Landmark head field hockey coaches. The All-Landmark Team includes
a first and second team with the selections being made by position.
The voting for the All-Conference Team took place after the
conclusion of the regular season and prior to the start of the
Landmark postseason.
Juniata College, which went unbeaten in conference play during
the regular season, and The Catholic University of America both
placed six players on the All-Conference squad and the two will
face off on Saturday in the Landmark Conference Championship. Both
teams also earned additional honors as Catholic senior Liz Grumbein
was voted Player of the Year and Juniata coach Caroline Gillich and
her staff were voted Coaching Staff of the Year. Drew University
senior Kati Eggert was named the Offensive Player of the Year and
The University of Scranton first-year Laura Megargel was selected
as the Rookie of the Year. All seven Landmark schools placed at
least one performer on the All-Conference Team.
