Men's Soccer Players Honored WIth All-Conference Selections
MADISON, N.J. – The Landmark Conference has honored
twenty-four student-athletes with selections to the to the 2010
All-Landmark Conference Men's Soccer team as voted by the
conference's eight head coaches. The All-Landmark Team includes a
first and second team with 12 honorees on each team, with the
selections being made by position. The voting for the
All-Conference Team took place after the conclusion of the regular
season and prior to the start of the Landmark postseason.
Regular season conference champion Susquehanna University earned
the most honorees with six selections while the four Landmark
postseason participants dominated the first team with those four
programs earning all 12 spots. Susquehanna Head Coach Jim Findlay
and his staff were honored for their achievements as they were
picked as the Coaching Staff of the Year. Drew University senior
Matt Greenberg was picked as the Offensive Player of the Year and
one year after being chosen as the Rookie of the Year USMMA
defender Kurt Olsen earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Ian
Smith of The Catholic University of America was chosen as this
year's Rookie of the Year. All eight Landmark programs placed at
least one player on the All-Conference Team.
