Landmark Selects Men's Basketball All-Conference Team

MADISON, N.J. – After a highly-competitive regular season a total of 12 student-athletes have been selected to the 2010-11 All-Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Team as selected by the conference's eight head coaches. The team consists of a first and second team, with six players on each team, and the selections made by position. The voting for the All-Conference Team took place after the conclusion of the regular season and prior to the start of the Landmark postseason.

The University of Scranton, which finished atop the regular season standings, led the way with three All-Conference selections. Senior guard Zach Ashworth also picked up an additional award as he was named Player of the Year for the second-consecutive season. United States Merchant Marine Academy guard Tom Izzo was picked as the Landmark Defensive Player of the Year while Susquehanna freshman Harley Sellinger was tabbed as the Rookie of the Year. Drew University Head Coach Darryl Keckler and his staff were voted Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Rangers to a second-place conference finish and their first Landmark postseason berth.

Six of the All-Conferences choices are return All-Conference choices, including Ashworth and The Catholic University of America's Jason Banzaf who become the first players to earn Landmark All-Conference honors in each of their four seasons. USMMA duo Matt Hueber and Tom Izzo are both three-time All-Conference selections, while R.J. Dixon of Catholic and Chris Cullen of Moravian College earn All-Conference honors for the second time. Eight of the 12 selections went to seniors with one junior and three sophomores earning the remaining four spots.
