Kelly Crimmins Chosen as Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete
TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has chosen six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference.
The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in athletics and academics. The conference office will announce the six honorees over a two week period.
Catholic University's Kelly Crimmins has been named the Volleyball Senior Scholar Athlete. Crimmins earned her second consecutive First Team All-Landmark selection this after finishing with 230 kills, a team-leading 96 blocks and 23 digs. She led the Landmark Conference in hitting percentage at .335 and she finished the season ranked fifth in the conference in blocks. Crimmins finished her career with 313 blocks to rank fifth in the Landmark all-time.
Off the court, Crimmins is an art major with a 3.87 cumulative grade point average. Originally from Falls Church, Va., she was named to the Landmark Academic Honor Roll three times and was named to the Landmark All-Academic Team last season. Crimmins is a member of the Catholic honors program and earned Dean's List recognition every semester.
