Landmark Men's Tennis All-Conference Team Announced
MADISON, N.J. – A total of 16 men's tennis players have
been honored for their performances this season with selection to
the 2012 All-Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Team as selected by
the conference's eight head coaches. The team consists of a first
and second team, with six singles players and three doubles
pairings per team, and the voting took place prior to the start of
the Landmark postseason.
Drew University, which completed a fifth-straight unbeaten
Landmark season, leads the way with five All-Conference selections.
The Rangers also have junior Raul Smego earning Player of the Year
honors for a second-straight season. The University of Scranton,
Drew's opponent in the upcoming Landmark Championship earned four
selections and saw freshman Harry Bonet (Blue Bell, Pa./LaSalle
College High School) earn Rookie of the Year honors, while Head
Coach Keith Hetsko and his staff were voted Coaching Staff of the
Year. The four Landmark postseason participants dominated the
selections, earning all but one spot on the All-Conference
Team.
